FretQuiz: Learn Music Notes on Your Guitar Fretboard
FretQuiz is an educational app designed for beginner guitarists and children aged six years and above. It teaches you how to learn music notes on your guitar fretboard and improve your skills through a progressive, playful, and instructive method. The app is available on Android and is licensed as a full version game.
FretQuiz teaches you multiple aspects of learning for each note, such as listening to the corresponding sound (ear training), position on the fretboard (visual and physical training), and tablature representation (score's reading training). It has four progressive levels for each string or string group to learn the whole fretboard step by step. You can win stars for recognizing as many notes as possible. Obtaining the third star is timed and unlocks the next level.
FretQuiz has three fingerboards available, including Classical/Acoustic/Folk Guitar with 20 frets, Standard Electric Guitar with 22 frets, and Electric SuperStrat type Guitar (hard rock, shred) with 24 frets. You can choose among right-handed or left-handed guitar. The app provides you with the opportunity to work string after string, then several strings at once. With FretQuiz, you will become a better guitar player.
